Cookie Policy

This page describes cookies and similar storage Matchy uses, and how you can choose.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Matchy also uses localStorage for language, theme, watchlist, scout notes, and cookie preferences. Those items are not cookies, but we list them so the choice is clear.

Strictly necessary

authjs.session-token — set when you sign in with Google. It keeps you authenticated. You cannot use an account without it.

Preferences and local tools (not tracking)

Language and colour theme are stored in localStorage so the interface stays in your language and theme.

Watchlist and scout notes stay on your device. They are not advertising cookies.

Optional / tracking

Matchy does not currently set advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. If we add them later, they will stay off until you accept non-essential cookies in the banner.

Embedded YouTube (privacy-enhanced) may set cookies from Google if you play a video. That happens only when you paste a video URL and the player loads.

Your choice

The cookie banner lets you accept optional cookies or continue with necessary cookies only. You can change this later from the Cookie Policy page.

You can also delete cookies in your browser. Signing out or deleting the Auth.js session cookie will sign you out.

Cookie choices

We use a login session cookie when you sign in. Optional tracking stays off unless you accept it. We do not run advertising cookies today.
